For the Australian firm Isoloader, classic 30 ton units were built, for handling RTGs used in the construction sector. Traction and steering are ensured by hydraulic motors connected to planetary gearboxes. Our pride has been to be also present on the other side of the world, in the Australian continent, with our motor wheels.

Innovation 1
In this project, initially, the customer had decided not to mount a motorized steering system with fifth wheel, pinions and hydraulic motors. Infact he intended to guarantee the steering through the reversal of the rotation direction of the two motor wheels traction motors. However, during testing, it was found that this idea did not guarantee satisfactory performance during the steering phase. For this reason, a motorized steering system was subsequently installed.

The design of the structures of these drive wheels has been made to ensure the required load capacity, as well as structural strength with high safety margins, limiting weight and, consequently, cost.
