For this project the French company RBL REI requested our help to electrically drive a Mobile Hopper. Borghi Assali has created two-wheel groups with electric drive and steering with a capacity of 20 tons. (EBo1350).

Innovation 1
In this project Borghi Assali, thanks to a joint venture with an Italian specialized company, has provided also software and hardware necessary to manage the movement of the Mobile Hoppers. The possibility of supplying the control system of our motor wheels, fully respecting the operational logic required by the customer, makes it even easier for our customers to switch from hydraulic to electric systems.
Innovation 2
Considering that these Mobile Hopper remain stand still for a long time, in order to avoid deformations of the tires, given the high load, Borghi Assali has designed a special base under the structure. This base, when the Mobile Hopper is “parked”, is placed in correspondence of a rise on the pavement so that, by slightly deflating the tires, the support of the machine is guaranteed by the base itself. In addition, this part is an additional safety factor that guarantees vehicle stability in the event of a tire bursting or rapidly deflating.
